How do you stop being the bottleneck and how do you lead multi-disciplinary, agile design teams at scale?
The traditional Design Director is a bottleneck. Design and creative teams still follow the old top down model of the 60’s commercial art studio. It's a waterfall process. A modern design process should be agile and that requires you to lead teams in a different way, and to think of management as networked rather than hierarchical.
In this talk, Ben discusses how to stop being the bottleneck, how to manage teams at scale inside large organisations and how to make the most of an agile culture rather than going against it.
This talk was filmed at Leading Design London 2017. Find out more about the event details here - https://2017.leadingdesignconf.com/
